Organization produces a series of thematically programmed concerts, bringing together leading American and international musicians. Concerts offer a broad range of repertoire and musical styles, with members of the Houston Symphony and faculty of Rice Universityís Shepherd School of Music, University of Houstonís Moores School and others often included. Concerts are held at such venues as the Rothko Chapel, the Wortham Center and Zilkha Hall. Da Camera also presents programs to enhance the appreciation of chamber music and jazz, and to make music a part of everyday life. These programs include A Little Day Music, a series of free concerts at the Wortham Center; Stop, Look and Listen! family concerts at The Menil Collection; pre-concert talks; the Young Artist Program, a chamber music and jazz professional development program for instrumentalists, singers and composers; an annual Community Residency Project to bring musicians to Houston for an extended visit to work with young musicians, senior citizens and other members of the Houston community; and Da Camera in Your School concerts featuring jazz drummer/educator Samuel Dinkins III.
